Roman, aka Gaylord of Darkness, was gracious enough to take a few us; including Mark, Crystal and Aryon, up to the Catskills to spend a few days amongst greener things. The highlights were definitely yelling, “get a job!” at elementary school girls and finding wang rocks on the side of the river. I don’t want to mince words so I’ll just point you to the photos:
Upstate New York - On the ride up there was lightning to our side and we stopped at Wendy’s in a baconator craze, though no one actually got one in the end.
Kaaterskill Falls - The next morning we got a good start and Roman took us the falls. I guess it’s a pretty well known spot, there are lot’s of beautiful shots on google images. There is even a movie with its name.
Schoharie River - On our last night in the the Catskills, Roman took us down to the river to wander around. We took off our shoes to cross the water and left them on the the other side. It was the most magical and yet most painful experience I ever had. The moon was so full you could see in the dark and the mist made everything glow, but walking around barefoot on the stony banks was a certain kind of torture. It was pretty epic.
Thanks Roman for an amazing weekend!
